Quality News

Has your improvement work been featured in the Wisconsin Hospital Association newsletter? The great work that is taking place every day in our hospitals to improve the quality and safety of our patients should be shared, and one way to do that is to tell your story!

Hospital Highlights for WHA 2018 Quality Report

Each year WHA produces a quality report that compiles stories and articles that reflect the powerful work that hospitals and providers are doing across the state to make healthcare safe for patients and the staff that care for them. We include statewide quality data, WHA advocacy achievements, and event reviews. However, the most popular part of the report is the "Hospital Highlights" - examples that you share about the improvement projects your hospital has undertaken this past year.

We want to hear about how your hospital is improving patient safety by:

  • Reducing/Preventing Harm: infections, falls, medication errors, etc.
  • Improving Transitions of Care
  • Engaging Patients and Families in Care
  • Innovations in the Use of the Electronic Health Record to standardize care

Really, anything that others would like to hear about. We really encourage you to submit a photo of your work, and data, too.

In the past we have had you submit narratives about your improvement topic, your team, and the data that supports your work. This year, we are trying something new. You can submit your article for consideration by clicking on this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QualityReport2018

The questions will guide your writing, and prompt your ideas. We would like to have your story submitted no later than October 26, to help keep us on track for publishing shortly after the first of 2019.
